Charles Martindale is Professor of Latin at the University of Bristol. He is the author of numerosi books and articles on Roman literature, including to the Eclogues of Virgil (Cambridge University Press, 1997) and Byzantium and Its Classical Past (Cambridge University Press, 2019).
