Early Life and the Seeds of Entrepreneurship

Sayjai Thawornsupacharoen was born in Bangkok in 1960, into a family of modest means. Her father, a government employee, instilled in her the values of hard work and perseverance from a young age. Despite financial constraints, Sayjai's thirst for knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit led her to pursue a degree in Business Administration from Thammasat University.

During her university years, Sayjai's entrepreneurial instincts began to take shape. She started small businesses, such as selling handmade crafts and running a small food stall, to supplement her income and gain practical experience. These early ventures laid the foundation for her future business acumen.

A Trailblazing Journey in Business

After graduating from university, Sayjai joined her family's small food processing business. However, she quickly realized that her ambitions extended beyond the confines of the family enterprise. In 1987, she co-founded a small food processing company called Thai Agri Foods with a vision to bring high-quality, nutritious food products to Thai consumers.

Under Sayjai's leadership, Thai Agri Foods grew rapidly, becoming one of the leading food companies in Thailand within a decade. Her innovative approach to product development and her focus on customer satisfaction played a pivotal role in the company's success.

Social Responsibility as a Core Value

Throughout her business journey, Sayjai has consistently emphasized the importance of social responsibility as a core value. She believes that businesses have an obligation to give back to the communities in which they operate.

In 1995, Sayjai established the Sayjai Thawornsupacharoen Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education, healthcare, and community development in underserved communities in Thailand. The foundation has implemented numerous initiatives, including scholarship programs for underprivileged students, healthcare programs for rural villages, and environmental conservation projects.
